Jingle, jingle!
I've been working all evening on the ornaments that I'm taking to Silver Bella for the ornament swap group. I hope they like them!
It's a little paper mache oval box. I took the lid off, flipped the box, and put the lid on the BOTTOM of the box so that is now the top. So now the bottom as it looks here is hollow. When you put the "present" on the tree, you stick one of the lights from your light strings up thru the flower. (and holes I punched thru the box) That holds it on the branch and it gives it a nice glow. :)
I covered the box with Anna Griffin patterned papers, painted cherry red paint on the edges, then punched and layered some circles made out of different papers. (holly berry paper, Christmas sheet music, Basic Grey Dasher paper) Also added some darker red silk flowers and some really wide lace pieces tucked in the flower. I smudged some Glossy Accents on random places of the flower edges then dipped it in Martha Stewart white gold fine glitter.
I hope it inspires you...or at least puts you in the Christmas spirit! :)
