Happy Spring Break! Well, for us anyway. :) So glad to have Noah home and lounging around in our PJs a little later. Unfortunately, Noah and I are both sick right now with colds, so we are laying around a little more than normal. (Thank you for the well-wishes, by the way!)

The photo above is the project I'll be teaching at Scrapbook 911 in San Antonio on April 14th. Can't wait! The Shabby Chic Shadowbox House is a 12"x12" weathered wooden house full of Melissa Frances papers and vintage embellishments of buttons, ribbon, rhinestones, lace, a metal keyhole...lots of fun things. These papers are gorgeous and look almost like old wallpaper from an old house. I especially LOVE the Melissa Frances chipboard glitter heart on the front. :D If you'd like to sign up to take the class, click on the Scrapbook 911 link on the right sidebar. Click on the photo to see it larger.

Easter is coming up soon and we are hosting the whole clan at our home. I love having everyone here. :) I'm making a dessert and want to try something new. Two desserts I love are Buttermilk Pie and anything LEMON. So I found an Emeril recipe that I'm definitely making for Easter. What could be better than combining the two? I can't wait to try this:

Emeril Lagasse's Meyer Lemon Buttermilk Tart

And yes, it's important to use Meyer Lemons. What a good excuse to take a trip to the gourmet grocery store. :)

Today's quote I am borrowing from Courtney Walsh's blog. I read it yesterday and REALLY needed to read it. We had torrential thunderstorms here last night, which I am so afraid of. Trust in the Lord....worry is so unnecessary.

God bless,
Jennifer

Feel better, {{{Jennifer and Noah}}}. I love, love, love this little house. I purchased a smaller but similar unfinished wood house at Hobby Lobby and you've given me wonderful ideas. Wish I were close enough to come take your class. I love your work! And I love the quote, too. If only you knew how many of your blog quotes I've copied off or emailed to myself to read again later! It's always a uplifting experience to read your blog! Thanks a bunch!
