Swirly Flowery Inspiration

I picked up this 5x7 spiral notebook at Target yesterday. I'm going to take it with me to Disneyworld and Universal Studios to do some major journaling each night. I want to remember the DETAILS of the trip. I love reading what we ate for dinner each night, or what someone said that day... much more important to me than 20 photos of the Dumbo ride. (lol) When we went to Disneyworld last year I took and developed WAY too many pictures. This year I'm determined to just develop 1-2 from each ride, attraction, whatever... I just had too many that I couldn't use. I DO love multi-photo layouts but don't need 10 on each page. :) I can just transfer all of this detailed journaling to my scrapbook pages as I work on them.

Anyway, isn't this little notebook cute? I saw it and it immediately caught my eye. LOVED the color combination, love the swirly flowers (doodling and swirlies are very popular in scrapbooking right now), and love the price! (think it was $2) I'll also want to use this color combo on a layout in the future. They had other notebooks too in other colors! :) (shopping nudge)

Oh boy, Taylor......he was yawn city last night. I was so disappointed! That song just did not fit him and Simon was so right when he said, "it sounded like you picked it 10 seconds before you came on stage." haha! Ace was great, Elliot was good, the others were just....eh. It will be interesting to see who gets in the bottom 3 tonight.

Off to be productive. :) Won't be making dinner tonight since we won't be home.
Have a blessed day!

Don't you just love Target's notebook selection? I think I go there more often than I really need to, just so I can check out the notebook section...

I applaud you on the journal thing! You know how I love some journaling. LOL

I agree on the Taylor song...in fact, I was thinking of you as he was singing. That was not my favorite performance of his. We'll see tonight. lol

I have kept a travel journal for years Jen! In addition to journaling, I write notes to myself in the journal. Like, next time bring ___, don't forget to pack ___, etc. I am always re-reading my travel journals! I can take a trip in my mind whenever I want!!! It helps me as well with my layouts when I return home. If I don't journal every night before we go to bed, I will take my journal and coffee and go find a quiet place in the morning since I'm such an early riser and John likes to sleep in. You are gonna have so much fun with the boys at Disney! We'll be going next month when John's family comes from Japan.

Jennifer, I love your journaling thought. I have found myself starting to use more and more journaling and less worry about embelishing.. afterall it is the "words" that bring back the memories right?

Oooh I gotta get one of those journals! Good idea, Jenny, especially for a procrasti-scrapper like me! Just made up a new word for my laziness :) I'll get a different color!
