Good morning!

I love Mondays - fresh start to the week. Today I've been doing more store preparation. I piled a bunch of it into this basket so I could take a photo. There definitely won't be anything in the store that I don't love! :) And anything I have left will go into my Etsy shop.

(bundled old ledger paper and sheet music, Distress Stickles, tons of seam binding colors, Distress Inks, sparkly silver glitter in old salt shakers, monochromatic bundles of ribbon with glitter berry stems, Jenni Bowlin items...)

If you'd like to attend the retreat in October, there is still room left. But seats are going fast, so hurry! Here is the link for more information.

We took Noah to see Shorts on Saturday evening at Alamo Drafthouse. (our favorite movie place) The movie was cute...not one of my favorites. Noah liked it, but I think he liked the Spy Kids movies much better. (same director) My favorite thing about it was the food we ordered...ha. At Alamo they have a full menu and you eat while you watch the movie. The food is FABULOUS. Have you seen any good movies lately?

Sorry kind of a boring blog entry. I've been focusing more on the importance of taking care of our home and family and not trying to fill my time with other things. I've said "no" to several opportunities lately and it feels really good. It's the season in my life to appreciate and care for the gifts the good Lord has given me and keep other things to a minimum and not a distraction. :)

Dinner tonight - Bowtie pasta with carmelized onions, lemon pepper chicken (shredded from a rotisserie chicken I bought yesterday), red peppers, mushrooms, asparagus, pine nuts, and grated parmesan. Love one bowl dinners like this!

Sharing a quick video that Noell from Paperclipping posted during her trip to CHA. Jenni Bowlin's new products. Sigh...my favorite. I'm going to have several of these things in my shop!

Hey Jennifery...good to see your post...I agree...we all need to simplify our lives and remember what is really important...and our lives change and sometimes the "old" things just don't fit anymore...and that's okay...because you need to make room for the old. With my son moving out of town to PA for his new job and life with his new wife...my DH and I are changing our lives and getting ready for our next big adventure together...which hopefully will involved alot of travel...since we get a great perk from my son's new job with US Air...yeah baby! About time...lol Have a great week, fondly, Roberta
