I couldn't stand it anymore. I had to add just a touch of fall to the mantle. It's just a few flowers. :)
I got this etched vase recently while junking and the vintage glass glitter "3" is from Bayberry Cove (Wendy Addison). I think I'll add some shimmery copper/orange ribbon to the holes on top and hang it from the frame once September hits. Just tiiiiiiiired of the 100+ temps. We've had 61 days this summer over 100. I'm so ready for fall, football, pumpkin lattes, Black Friday, Halloween, sweaters, falling leaves...sigh. Summer is just such a long season here in Texas.
(although I love living here most of the time)
Want to try this recipe soon - Buffalo Chicken Salad. Yum!
We are off to the movies. Have a wonderful weekend!

Jen, I've made that exact recipe and it is delicious. I also made extra chicken and used it in Buffalo Chicken Wraps for a picnic the next day. I took a large whole wheat tortilla shell and spread a little of the dressing on it, added the chicken cut into thin strips, shredded romaine, diced celery and blue cheese crumbles. Then I rolled it, cut them in half and wrapped them in plastic wrap and they were perfect cold too.
Jen, if you haven't seen it yet I HIGHLY recommend "Julie & Julia"! I read the book, loved the movie even more. And you know how rarely that happens!
