Say hello to our new baby, Max. :)

Noah has wanted a dog for about two years, but we really wanted him to be old enough to take the majority of the responsibility for him. After Christmas, we finally felt like he was ready, so we started visiting our local animal shelters. We felt strongly about getting a rescue dog, especially after heartbreaking visits to the shelters. Noah had his heart set on a golden retriever. (of course, who doesn't?) Every time we saw one, it was already on hold for someone else. So we just waited and told Noah that God would bring just the right dog to him if he was patient. Tuesday night my sister sent me a link to the Humane Society's website, showing they had just received a litter of 8 puppies - golden retriever/hound/lab mix. We were the first ones to see them on Wednesday afternoon and immediately fell in love with our new guy. He was neutered yesterday and we were able to pick him up today. Noah is SUCH a good dog owner already. He's doing all of the feeding, taking him outside, and clean ups. :) I'm so glad we waited until now. And Noah learned a wonderful lesson on patience and now responsibility.

Now on to some sleepless nights, the housebreaking, puppy playing, and lots of doggie kisses. Oh, and that's his toy dragon and he loves it already!

He is so precious! We just took our puppy (who's almost 11 months) to obedience training today! Having a puppy is a lot of work, but really sweet. Good luck!

Congratulations on the newest blessing in your home!

We are partial to Goldens, ourselves. Our last 3 dogs were full or partial Goldens. They are the best dogs!

They are the best dogs and he will be the greatest friend and companion for your son. Charmer (our golden) has been the light of our lives for the last eight years. I can't tell you how much she means to us! Have fun with the puppy months...They go fast!

Your family will never be the same! Pets make great "siblings" for only children...my 8-year old daughter LOVES our sheltie pup, Redford, probably more than us!

Max is definitely a cutie!! You do know what they say about the size of a puppy's paws, right?? Just saying...
