Are you ready for Thanksgiving? I haven't done much decorating, just kept a few fall things up after Halloween. My mom is hosting at her house this year, so I haven't decked out the dining room. (this photo is from two years ago with the glittered pumpkins) If you are hosting Thanksgiving and could use a few little tips, I compiled a list two years ago that I share each year. Sorry it's a little late this time! You can find the long post of hostessing tips and recipes right HERE.
I am going to work today on some sample soldered photo charms in different sizes. Probably sometime this week I'll be able to take some orders for photo charms in time for Christmas gifts. I'll have all of the choices/options in my Etsy shop.
Last weekend I scrapbooked with some good friends - Marilyn, Pam, and Teresa. (hi, girls!) Pam made a wonderful dinner for us and I thought I'd share the recipe here - Paula Deen's Pumpkin Baked Ziti. I know it sounds strange to have pumpkin puree in a baked pasta, but it wasn't! It had a wonderful creamy texture and was SO yummy for a cold evening. I want to make and freeze this for Thanksgiving weekend.
Have a blessed Saturday!
"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow. " ~Melody Beattie

Great quote! Love your blog!
Thankyou for that quote. Gave me perspective for the week ahead.
LOL at #6 on your list from a couple of years ago!
Great ideas and helpful hints. We aren't hosting this year (woot!), but I've learned I'm in charge of the pies. 8 of 'em!
