Good afternoon :)

I've been pretty busy with stuff around here...you know, life. I'm really looking forward to Christmas. I've been listening to Christmas music, making gift lists, finding holiday recipes, and working on crafty things.

In a couple of weeks these kits will be available for purchase at a nearby scrapbook store. One is pink and sparkly and one is red and retro. I LOVE them both! More information soon. Just had to post a peek. :) (you can click the photo for a larger view) Edit: The kits will be sold at Crop, Paper, Scissors in Waco, TX. I'll let you know when!

This weekend I'm going to scrapbook with some good friends. I can't wait! I'm actually going to spend the time finishing the steps, product list, and final work on my Inspired Artist Workshop 2009 project. Not exactly scrapbooking, but if I can just hang out with girlfriends and work on it...it's still fun! I'm going to make these treats to take with me. Yum!

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Caramel Bars
1 1/2 c Flour
1 1/2 c Oatmeal
1 c Brown Sugar
1/2 t Baking Soda
1/4 t Salt
1 c Butter
3/4 c Caramel Topping (I'm going to use melted caramels)
3 T Flour
1 c Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
1/2 c Nuts, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine 1 1/2 c flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, and butter to form a crumbly mixture. Press half into the bottom of a 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake for 10 minutes. While baking, combine caramel and flour. Set aside. Remove crust from oven and sprinkle with nuts and chocolate chips. Pour caramel mixture over crust and sprinkle with other half of crumbly mixture. Bake an additional 15-20 minutes or until golden. Cool, cut into bars, and refrigerate.

If you'd like to listen to free Christmas music at your computer, AOL's radio site has great stations. Here is the link - AOL Christmas music. (my favorite is the Holiday Classics)

My blog is getting an overhaul, so everything will be back soon.
It's hard to do it all at once. And it's a pain.
Have a blessed week!

Will your new little kit be sold at Right At Home Scrapbooking? That's where I shop and it would be so great if they were!
