Good morning! I've started getting a few things together for the scrapbook retreat. It's in 2 weeks, but I figured I'd start gathering some items now. :)

I have way too much ribbon and lace to take it all with me, so here is the way I'll be transporting some of it. (this would work for home storage as well) I have them wound around chipboard and cardboard pieces, fastened with a stick pin. This is the way I have them stored at home, just in 2 large baskets. I found this quilted/divided perfume box yesterday while out junking ($3!) so they fit perfectly standing up in this box. I can still see them all, but they are nicely organized to take on the retreat. I bought some of those lace cards yesterday, too. Love finding those! You can click on the photo to see a larger view.

I've posted this photo before but it's the same type of quilted perfume box.
I use this one for small journaling tags and chipboard pieces.
Very functional but pretty at the same time. :)

If you are taking my Seasonal Tags class at the retreat, I'll have some good door prizes to give away, including an autographed copy of Donna Downey's new "Fabric Scrapbooking" book. Can't wait!

This is the same way I store my ribbon! It works so well when I scrap with others cause I just pick up the card that will complement the colors I'm working with and I have lots of options without taking them all.

Love the look of yours in the pretty quilted boxes :)

I *love* the way you have the tags all standing up and visible! I have been fighting with my tag er,um, collection! I have them in a big basket and have to dig around to find what I want. SOooo isn't working! I've got a couple of cracker server baskets and I'm going to try moving them to those! Thank you so much for sharing that photo!!

I love those boxes. I have looked in my local junk stores, but haven't run across anything like that yet. I am going to an estate sale this weekend, maybe I will find some treasure there.

very creative. I love the look of ribbon on pages but, don't use it myself. I think I have one page I added ribbon too. Plus one that was predesinged with it on there already
