Sorry so long since I've blogged. :)
Just been super busy, I guess!

I created a really fun project kit for Right at Home Scrapbooking. It's called "Countdown to Christmas" Advent Calendar, and you can see a sneak peek photo above. LOVE the whimsical colors and details of this project. The kit description and information are here. Preorders have begun and you can purchase the kit on their website with Paypal. They are going fast, so reserve your kit soon! I had SO much fun creating this. I listened to Christmas music while I worked and it really put me in the mood for the holiday season. :)

Speaking of Christmas....I've done a little more gift shopping! Noah wants a Nintendo DS so badly this year. Toys R Us has them with a $20 gift card this week plus they have all of their games buy 2, get the 3rd free. So I got the DS plus 3 games for a great price. He is going to flip out. Now to hide it for 2 1/2 months! (Allison, don't tell Luke!) :D

A big HELLO to Toko, a sweet lady I met today while in the scrapbook store. She recognized me from my blog. ::waving:: Hi, Toko! (I hope I'm spelling your name right!)

New 80's video posted on the right ~~~>
Warning - it will get stuck in your head. Don't say I didn't warn you.

There isn't much that tastes better or that is more comforting on a cool Fall day than homemade macaroni and cheese. Yum. Here is one of our favorite recipes -

Baked Macaroni and Cheese
from Steph's Kitchen

2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup flour
1-3/4 cups milk
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
2 cups (8 ounces) grated Sharp Cheddar cheese, divided

1. Preheat oven to 350ยบ.

2. Cook macaroni in salted boiling water according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water. Pour into a 2-quart baking dish.

3. In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in flour. Cook and stir for one minute. Gradually stir in milk. Add sour cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and mustard. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until sauce bubbles and thickens. Stir in half of the Cheddar cheese until melted.

4. Toss macaroni with remaining Cheddar cheese. Pour sauce over macaroni and mix thoroughly.

5. Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour, or until bubbly and brown. Yield: 6 servings.

A dearer, sweeter spot than all the rest."

I can't wait to buy that kit! It looks so colorful! And I would love a Nintendo DS too with the adult brain games! It would be great to keep in my purse for those times I'm waiting and need something to do. I may have to make a trip to Toys and treat myself today on my lunch break! ;o) Thanks for the heads up on the special!
