I picked up the latest issue of Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion yesterday and of course, it's fabulous. Lots of beautiful ideas for October and November. I especially loved this idea of layered lace, ribbon, and fabric tattered flowers sewn together to make hair barrettes. No girls here, but I think I'll be using this idea on a project!

Ok, I finally updated my ETSY shop with some class kits. Sorry, I only had 4 kits left after the last few weeks of teaching, so what I had left is what I listed. Really fun projects/gifts, though! I'm going to be working on some new ideas in the coming months and will actually develop some classes/projects that will immediately turn into kits to sell on Etsy. Sort of like "take home" classes. I may even make some videos to go along with them to help you with doing them at home. We'll see...

Tonight for dinner is one of our favorites - Barefoot Contessa's REAL spaghetti and meatballs with some garlic bread and green salad. I always make extra sauce/meatballs and freeze it for another day. These are the BEST meatballs ever and make the house smell so good.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Silver Bella is my dream destination holiday and you are making it all the more tempting with Urban Prairie and those ragged flowers, they would look so good on an altered piece or shabby page.

Be sure to update us with what you decide to do. With the collection of vintage laces and trims it will sure to be something wonderful.
