Happy Friday!

Aren't these pumpkins beautiful? (pic from Martha Stewart's website) Two years ago I started making these pumpkins each year (photo of mine) after I saw them done on Martha Stewart's show. Basically, you brush pumpkins with mod podge, sprinkle them with ultrafine glitter in various shades, then paint the stems brown. They are just gorgeous on the dining table on pedestals or lined up down the middle of the table. I placed an order with Art Glitter two years ago and ordered the colors Martha uses on the video and I still have a ton left. They are so pretty. You can see a video of how to do the glittered pumpkins here. (and you can click the "article" tab to see the products you need)

This is my FAVORITE time of year. Even though we get a late Fall in Texas (probably late October-early November) it's still fun to decorate, light our pumpkin candles, and feel the mornings getting cooler.

I am all packed and ready for my classes in Waco on Saturday. These are going to be such fun classes with lots of paint, glitter, chocolate (of course) and individual creativity. :) I look forward to meeting a lot of you!

I haven't shared a recipe in a while, so here is one of our favorite Fall recipes - Baked Orange Walnut French Toast. Yummy for a weekend breakfast. :) And Noah and I are making these cookies later this afternoon - Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Have a good weekend!

I loveee those pumpkins, they're absolutely amazing.. aaahhh, and Yankee Candle.. lol. I would love to send you a freebie to see how you like it, I just got done pouring all my Fall Scents, I feel like I'm going to turn into a pumpkin myself. :-) I'm also a fall freak, have you ever been to Lost Maples? A little past San Antonio? Absolutely beautiful around my anniversary. (At Peak, around November 12th).

Thanks for the instructions :)
If you would like to try a candle on me, or tarts, please email me, would love to send you one since you sent me all that fiber awhile ago! :)

I love those pumpkins. I just bought the Martha pumpkin glitter kit from Michael's with my 50% off coupon (yah) and I am going to try it on the fake foam pumpkins so that hopefully they will last for many years. Just picked up my pumpkin pie yankee candle today. I also make my own candles but didn't have any pumpkin type scent so decided to buy one. I am in Ohio so we are in full swing of fall today. 67 degrees, blue skys, sun shining and trees starting to turn! Happy Fall everyone!

Perfect timing on the cookie recipe link. I was going to make cookies today too and couldn't find my recipe. Got online to look one up and was checking out your blog and there it was. I have been burning my pumpkin candles and today I hit Pier One and got some of their fall stuff. Have fun in Waco.

Cute fall decoration, Jen. I'm on the coast by Houston and do not have the slightest urge yet, even to decorate for Halloween. We just got a *cool* (more like heat-break) front through yesterday finally and one nicely non-sweaty night, so I'm hoping for an early Indian Summer without holding my breath, LOL.
