I have a new love...and it's a magazine called Somerset Life.
Oh my....this brand new publication is absolutely GORGEOUS.
David and I went to Borders tonight after dinner and I found it among the craft magazines. It's not cheap....$15.00. But wow, it is so inspirational. (If you click on the photo of the magazine, you can see more photos from the inside pages.) I think I'll be falling asleep many a night with this in my hands!
This is an excerpt about the publication:
The publisher’s dream for Somerset Life, a new annual publication debuting May 2007, is to encourage readers to make every day extraordinary: by infusing daily life with simple pleasures, art, romance, creativity and beauty. It will capture the imagination with stunning photography, insightful and entertaining articles, and imaginative ideas. Somerset Life will show readers how attention to the little things in life can lead to an inspired and artful way of living.
That just makes me happy to read! The funny thing is, I've been feeling very inspired and creative lately and have tons of post-it notes all over my desk of new project ideas. So finding this tonight was just a big cherry on top. :)
I'm hoping to get out tomorrow for National Scrapbook Day and just rub elbows with other crafties. :)
Here's a yummy weekend recipe to try!
Yummy Wake-Up Smoothie
from Emeril Lagasse
3 large ripe bananas, peeled and sliced
1 cup washed strawberries, stem and hull removed
1/2 cup raspberries, or peeled and sliced kiwi (about 2 kiwis)
1 cup plain yogurt
1 1/4 cups orange juice
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup crushed ice

Place all of the ingredients in the blender and process on high speed until smooth,
about 30 to 45 seconds.
Pour into glasses and serve.
Have a blessed weekend!
