FREE CLASS GIVEAWAY! :D

I hope that got your attention!

On Thursday, January 25th I'm going to randomly draw a name from all of the comments left on THIS post to win a free spot in one of my classes here in Austin. The class is being held on Saturday, February 3rd at Scrapbook Crossing from 12-3 p.m.
You must be able to attend to win since this is a spot in the class, not a kit. (EDITED TO ADD: The reason this can't be a kit is that I use too many extra items in the class that are your choice, so there would be too much missing in a kit. :D) The class is entitled "The Art of Romance - Mantle Decor Book" and is a $25 value! (click on the class title to read more about the class) It's a lovely fold out chipboard book that is almost 3 feet long by 7" high. We'll use the gorgeous Foofala Red, Black and Cream line of papers with lots of ribbon, rhinestones, paint, buttons, and fun extras.

OK.....to win......please leave a comment with your name and email address. In your comment, tell me what is most important to you when taking a scrapbooking class. And if you'd just like to leave a comment on this subject even if you can't win the class, go right ahead! It's very important to me to always listen to scrapbookers and get regular feedback. I'll post Thursday and let you know who won.

Have a wonderful evening! :)
- Jennifer

I love this quote because of all the icy weather we've had lately...
"Even in the winter, even in the midst of the storm, the sun is still there. Somewhere, up above the clouds, it still shines and warms and pulls at the life buried deep inside the brown branches and frozen earth. The sun is there! Spring will come! The clouds cannot stay forever." - Gloria Gaither

Well poop, I can't win either but still wanted to comment anyway! I'm bummed but my hubby is usually gone flying on the weekends so I'll need to be here w/the kiddos. If I can find someone to babysit I'll be back to officially enter!! ;-)

Jennifer -- Oh I hope that I can win this class. I must admit learning something different is one of the main reasons I take a class. And of course learning anything from you is just awesome. Carol, cjpittman@sbcglobal.net.

Hey Jen -- The free class idea is GREAT! What I hope to take away from any class that I attend is, that I can go home and re-create this project again and again to share with others and not feel intimidated by the process. You have a gift and I always look forward to what you have to teach. I cannot wait to see what else you come up with for the 'Decorating Your Home" series of classes at our LSS.
Love Lori

Tehehe . . . thinking I might have to make a trip to my inlaws that weekend. Would put me close enough for a class!

What I want out of a class. . .techniques and tips that I can use over and over again. And a finished product (or at least really good instructions on how to get it that way).

I'll still leave you a comment even though I can't take the class. If you ever want to give away a kit though, I'm sure I could figure it out with a picture to go by. ;) Love your work, Jennifer & enjoy reading your blog!

I love learning something new, a new way of adding ribbon (you were the one who taught me to use the xyron to put ribbon on a border, I had never thought of that before! :-D) a new way to use an old embellishment, some fun way to use stuff I already have lots of. :-)

I hope I win! Even if I don't you will probably see me there! :-) Oh, iffer@AOL.com although I think you already knew that LOL. Hugs!

I'm in! I have only taken one class in Waco with my sister and loved
it! I think the most important thing that I learned from the class
was that there is no one right way to do anything! Be creative with
the bones that you are given and make your project unique and yours!

I love to get other scrappers point of view and their interpretations of the same project. I also like when the instructor shares those "ah ha" tips that are so simple but I never thought of. I just hung up my house project from your class this morning and I absolutely love it! You are very talented!

I would love to come to Austin for your class! When I attend a class, the most important thing for me is to be able to complete the project in class - if I take it home, it sits unfinished for weeks! Stacy from Katy sreeves@consolidated.net

Alrighty, I decided. I need a trip. I fly free. Why not come and try to take a class from one of my favorite bloggers? (Even if she is way too organized!). If I win, I'll fly down. If I don't win... well then I'm going to try and fly down anyway. Beware! :)

Wait! I forgot to share what's important to me when taking a class. An organized teacher is important. If possible, written instructions are important - but with all of the class lifting hard to find. A patient and organized teacher!
