The only reason I didn't cry was that I didn't want my sniffling to be on the video.
It was really hard not to, though.
Noah was asked to read a few verses from the book of Isaiah today at a school chapel/assembly.
He got this sheet just an hour before the start time and we went over it a few times.
I am amazed how well he reads for a first grader.
Blows me away.
Can't believe that's my baby up there in front of the entire school and ALL of the parents.
God, thank you for this child who makes every day of my life happier.
The Messiah's Lineage
A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
2 The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD -
3 and he will delight in the fear of the LORD.
10 In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples;
the nations will rally to him, and his place of rest will be glorious.
Isaiah 11:1-3a, 10.
