...definitely has the pinkish hue!

(click on the photo to see it larger)

Any Seinfeld fans? Then you know the episode...talking about a girl's cheeks..."definitely has the pinkish hue." :) (love Seinfeld)

Anyway.....the picture above is just a few little things I've picked up recently. the pink floral lunchbox...SO CUTE! That is from Walmart's Valentine section. It was only $3.88 and I'm using it to store my pens and paint pens. I'm not an alterer, so I'm leavin' it just how it is. Why would I want to change it? It's adorable! (colors are dark pink, light pink, little red, and brown) The lunchbox dimensions are 6 1/4" W x 5" H x 2 3/4" D.
The photo boxes are from my local grocery store ($2.50/each) and the ribbons are by the yard at Walmart. (dark pink pom poms, pink/white stripes, lime green polka dot, and thin lime green with a shimmer)

I'm going to be teaching a very informal (free!) online class on Sunday night about How to Plan/Pack for a Crop. I'll have some fun new ideas to share...not the same old thing. Would love for you to join in! You need to be an AOL member to join the chat, though, since it will be in an AOL chat room. I'll be emailing a handout prior to the class and will even have a door prize or two. Email me if you want more info! (Jenyfer28@aol.com)

My day at the spa yesterday was WONDERFUL. I told my husband he could give that to me as a gift anytime. The hot stone massage was great...very different from regular massages. I loved her having a hot rock in her hand while she massaged! I had to laugh at myself yesterday. I had finished my manicure and pedicure, my nails were finally dry, so I grabbed my stuff and walked out of the spa. (into the mall) I was out for 15 minutes, looked down, and realized I still had my jeans rolled up to my knees from my pedicure. Bahaha....I looked completely dorky, especially since I was walking around in Nordstrom!

I need to go work on the class for Sunday and some other scrapbooking projects. Here's a quick recipe before I go. This is great for a busy, cold day and it only takes about 5 minutes of preparation! (Note: You do need to soak the beans overnight, though)
Crockpot Ham and Beans with Cornbread
1 bag (16 oz.) pinto beans (or your favorite beans)
1/2 pound diced, cooked ham
*(I buy two thick slices of Boar's Head honey maple ham from the deli and dice it)
1 small onion, diced
1 large handful of brown sugar
salt and pepper to taste
dash of cayenne pepper
1 Tbsp. dried parsley
Water
1. Rinse and sort beans then place in a large pot. (make sure there are no rocks in the beans) Add 8 cups of cold water. Let stand overnight or at least 8 hours. Drain and rinse beans again.
2. Return beans to the pot and add diced ham, onion, brown sugar, salt, pepper, cayenne, and parsley. Generously cover with water. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 1.5 - 2 hours until beans are tender. Add more water if necessary during cooking time. Before serving, add more salt, pepper and brown sugar to taste.
* To cook in the crockpot, just cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 5-6 hours, until beans are tender.
To make my cornbread, I just use a good mix and add a can of creamed corn, a handful of sharp cheddar cheese, and 1/2 can chopped green chiles to the batter. (you can reduce the milk or oil if you use the creamed corn)

ROLLING ON THE FLOOR about the jeans. Jennifer, that is TOO FUNNY. And in Nordstrom no less. Hilarious. I'll be passing that story along to my sister. She and I love a good shopping giggle.

The lunch box find - what a deal. And you are right. Why alter it when it is so dang cute to begin with?

Good luck with your class. That sounds awesome.
