Daily Blog Bread

So...I have a bunch of little things to blog about today. Like a blog entry with ADD. :)

Have you ever seen the nightlights at Enchanted Lantern? (pictured) They are the CUTEST THINGS! I have a cowgirl one in my guest bathroom (Texas/cowboy theme) and it's so cool. They have every theme you can imagine....$20 each in a box. They'd make wonderful, unique gifts. I want a fun one for my kitchen!

I had some time to myself yesterday and I went into a new scrapbook store. It's located in the "funky" part of town...all the mom and pop shops, lots of old houses painted in fun colors...it's fun to go to this area of Austin. (and only about 15 minutes from me) The new scrapbook store, Lara's Arthouse, is so cute! It's located behind a coffee shop in a renovated apartment building. The colors inside the shop are bright aqua, white, brown and lime green. FUN! The store is very small but I stayed and talked to her for about 2 hours about all her plans and dreams. I even inquired about teaching since it's so close to my house. I think it will be a really successful place! (and next to a coffee shop? Cool!)

I'm listening to Christmas music while I blog. :)

Holy Schmoly....I have about 40+ people interested in the online class I'm doing on Sunday night. Woohoo, will be fun! I'm putting the finishing touches on the handout tonight and will be emailing it to those on the list. The class is "How to Pack and Prepare for a Crop." I have some fun ideas to share. OH...and I got two of those pink lunchboxes (see previous post) for door prizes!

I love Bath and Body Works' Rich Citrus Cream line. They just brought it back as a Classic. Yay. :) (I already got some!)

YES. :) I bought one yesterday.

Ok, so some friends told me the other night that my blog was so positive and full of good things. Yes, I do try to blog about good things but my life isn't perfect! I told them, "well, notice I don't blog every day....those are the crappy days." (ha) Not really....but I do have normal, boring, blah days and problems just like everyone else. Here's a list for you from today:
I paid some bills online, I dropped and broke my airtight canister that holds our bags of coffee beans, I have 4 hangnails and I just got a manicure on Monday (LOL!), I have a sink full of dirty dishes right now (yep!), I haven't finished laundry from Tuesday yet and I have a headache. Ok, there...see? But really....who wants to read about all of my problems? I'd rather focus on the fun stuff that God puts into my life, so that's what you'll usually see here. :)

Noah and I made homemade wheat hamburger buns this morning. We just made the dough in the bread machine then cut it apart and baked the buns. He LOVED it and it made the house smell so good. We're having hamburgers tonight.

I got Noah a t-shirt yesterday at Target that says,
"Just make yourself a dang Quesa-dillah!"
And it has a big fried quesadilla on it.
Hilarious and he LOVES it.

Gotta go organize my chipboard alphabet letters. I'm tired of them being sorted by brand so I'm doing baggies for each letter of the alphabet. I think I'll use them more that way. Here's the BUN recipe! :)

Bread Machine Hamburger/Hot Dog Buns

1 c. water
1 egg
2 c. all purpose flour
1 c. bread flour or whole wheat flour
3/4 t. salt
1/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. sugar
3 t. yeast

Put all ingredients in the bread machine, choose dough cycle and start. When done, remove dough and gently roll into a cylinder shape about 12 inches long. Divide dough into 12 equal sections for hot dog buns (8 for hamburger buns). Shape sections (balls for hamburger buns and tubes for hot dog buns), place on a greased baking sheet, cover and let rise for 10-15 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes.

Enjoy your weekend with those you love,
Jennifer

I think the fact that your posts are happy and uplifting is why I LOVE to visit here soooo much.

And I amd right there with ya about not posting every
single day. My days can be pretty monotonous, so I prefer to not drone on and on or bore anyone.

Love this entry...I'm all about cool random entries!!! I, like you, tend to blog mainly about the good and happy stuff! Why dwell on the poopy days, right? I so love your blog Jennifer!

You will probably love having your letters sorted alphabetically. All of my scrapping stuff is sorted by either color or letter, and it makes it sooo much easier for me in every way! It gives me a good reason to get some more of the Ikea drawers I love so much, too! LOL
