Today I'm hoping to wrap some gifts, do a little online shopping, and maybe go to Target later for a few gifts. I really love free Saturdays during December!
DECOR: This Santa light is one of my favorite decorations. I got it last year while in Omaha for Silver Bella. One of mine and Jana's shopping excursions took us to an antique mall where I found him. He's about 12" tall and is sitting on the mantle now. :)
Want some other beautiful decor inspiration?
* Karla's gorgeous tiny bottle brush trees and table decor
* Andrea's beautiful Shiny Brite ornaments. LOVE the boxes, too!
* All of the lovely vintage goodies that Pam found while in Omaha. EXACTLY what I would have chosen. So pretty!
* The Christmas decor at Curious Sofa. ROAD TRIP!
FOOD: Yesterday I made a short list of things I'd like to make during December. I don't do a ton of baking, mostly because we don't need it nor do we usually eat it all, so I'll just make a few things this year. (I like having cookies made and in the freezer)
Sweets I'll be making this month:
Barefoot Contessa's Jam Thumbprint Cookies - these are SO good and so easy. I leave out the coconut. Make sure you use really good quality jam or preserves.
Chocolate Cheesecake Candy Cane Bars - new recipe for me this year, but it has wonderful reviews. I think I'll make these for Christmas Eve.
Holiday Pretzel Treats - these are fun to make with Noah and look so pretty on a red plate.
And thank you for all of the nice emails regarding my new Etsy shop photo pendants. I'm having fun making them. If you are interested in one, I can have it done in 2-3 days in time for Christmas.
