This will be my last blog post for 2008! I am looking forward to a happy, healthy, good things to come 2009. :)

Tonight we are going over to my sister's house for a Rock Band 2 shindig. Lots of kids, music, loud noises, appetizers and desserts...definitely not a relaxing, romantic evening. But it will be fun! With kids there ranging in age from 2-8, we'll probably do a fake countdown with New York City....or sooner. Maybe Europe? ha :)

I pray your new year is full of blessings! What are you doing for New Year's Eve?

"A happy New Year!
Grant that I may bring no tear to any eye
When this New Year in time shall end
Let it be said
I've played the friend,
Have lived and loved and labored here,
And made of it a happy year." ~Edgar Guest

Love the quote....actually fits very well with my Goodbye 2008 post.

We am spending New Year's Eve with my mom who just broke her ankle and our sweet little grandson , Adler. We had hoped to spend today and tomorrow on the beach, but life had other plans. But we will start the New Year, just the two of us, exploring some part of Texas that we haven't seen and taking a break before things start up again, next week.

Have a wonderful New Year, dear friend!!!

Just me and hubby at home now...the kids are grown and away. So we will enjoy the quietness of our home and be thankful for all the blessings of 2008 despite the passing of my dad and favorite uncle, our two sorrows of the year. May blessings be on your home in 2009! Thank you for sharing your cheerful spirit with us so faithfully!

Happy New Year Jen. Well, after having celebrated New Year's Eve over the years at places like the Rose Bowl, Times Square, the Las Vegas Strip and the Tempe Fiesta Bowl Block Party, I'm afraid that anything Dubuque, IA has to offer will be tame in comparison. So, I am staying home with Bailey the Beagle and counting down with Carson Daly. This way, I will be well rested for the 10 am kickoff of the Outback Bowl. Go Hawks!
