Good morning :)

I didn't take a lot of photos on Christmas this year, but I did manage to gather all of Noah's Christmas morning gifts in one place long enough to take this photo. I started doing this on his birthday a couple of years ago. It's fun to remember what you received and I know I love looking at Christmas photos from when I was little and seeing the old packaging, what was popular, my favorite toys, etc. I hope Noah will too.

I woke up in a very creative mood today, so I've been writing down some ideas for projects and a new local spring class. And see that box full of vintage lace? That's going with me to Inspired and will be for my students! We'll have a little supply table (a.k.a. "candy store!") set up in the classroom full of fun goodies. :)

If you are still interested in one of the Christmas Canvas kits, there are just a few left! This is a great way to display your yearly Christmas photo and will be a nice surprise to open next year. Look on my sidebar to order one. ~~>

Here is the last page of January's Country Living magazine. (I always love their last pages) A good thing to remember as we wind down the holiday season. I love what Rebecca Sower said on her blog the other day - "I love Christmas, the season. I don't love Christmas, the chaos." I feel that way, too. I'm ready to simplify and renew. How about you?

I too am ready to simplify (easier said than done) and renew. I adore Christmas but after it is over I want everything put away and as you say renew.

I loved your Christmas post - such beautiful words.

I read Rebecca's blog earlier this morning and her statement so hit home with me. I LOVE CHRISTMAS. I love what it stands for, our Savior's birth and Family being together. But I really don't like all the work it takes to meet expectations of what it has become. Will I continue to do it? Yes, because I love seeing my family enjoy the fruits of my labor. But I will try this year to start preparing a little earlier.

I so agree! I'm glad Christmas is behind us...I can celebrate Jesus' birth every day! All the pressure to make it special for everyone is stressful, but it always seems to come together. :)

Squeal of excitement over the lace for Inspired!

I love the season and this year, the chaos was no different than any other year, but my attitude was. I simplified in many ways.
