Hi :) I had a lot of fun on my scrapbooking retreat this past weekend. I only got about 10 pages done, but I don't really go to do a page marathon. I enjoy visiting and seeing old friends just as much, if not more! Thought I'd come post a couple of the layouts I finished. The LEGO Robotics Camp layout won 2nd place in the "embellished layouts" category at the retreat. :) And you know me, lots of photos on each one!

For this layout, I used the cute robots paper from Sassafras Lass. (I knew I'd find a use for it!) I cut out the large robot on the paper and used him as an embellishment. The little "explosions" are Tim Holtz's grungeboard, just inked with chalk ink. I put a little glitter on one and on a grungeboard star. Remember those old Making Memories moulding strips? I still love them and got to use some on this...perfect for Legos, huh? (the silver dotted strips)

This one is actually pretty simple. Lots of photos, trimmed and arranged on the page. I matted some of them and then fit in fun patterned paper pieces around the photos. Embellished last. The "8" in a circle is just inked grungeboard and chipboard. The heart around the #8 is grungeboard as well and I cut a hole in the middle to show the 8 underneath. I wanted to use the little index prints, so I added those to the bottom of the 2nd page. And I love folding ribbon and adding buttons. Always have to have texture and layers. :) The Doodlebug tiny simply sweet rub-ons were perfect for adding a little wordage here and there.

Have a wonderful day! I'll share more layouts later this week...

Great layout. My daughter's school tried to rally up some interest in this but it fizzled. I have grunge board but haven't tried it yet. Looks neat though. Thanks for sharing!
