Good morning! I'm sorry I haven't blogged in so long. I really haven't had much exciting to talk about and couldn't decide if it was better to just blog something boring or to leave the blog as is..ha. Guess I chose the latter. :)

Today I'm planning on cleaning out my closet. It's something I've been wanting to do for a while. I'm going to put my shirts/blouses in color order. LOL I know that sounds funny, but I'm really curious to see how much of each color I have. I can already tell you the reds, pinks, browns, and blacks will take up more space than purple or blue. (I think I have maybe one purple shirt...not my favorite color) Austin is home to about 2,000 Hurricane Ike evacuees and they are in need of some clothing. Couldn't be a better motivation to get my closet organized and to give to those who are needing more clothing than what they wore as they evacuated. If you'd like to donate to the Greater Houston Red Cross, you can do so here. They are feeding and sheltering thousands of Houston and Galveston residents right now.
I have all of my Seasonal Tags kits and Vintage Halloween Hanger kits ready to go! (that's the photo above) I had them all piled up on the table and just loved all the color. These kits are FULL of great items. In the Seasonal Tags kit, you even get a full set of Making Memories "calendar events" cardstock tags. These are discontinued and very hard to find. Lots of fun lace, seam binding, papers, buttons, glass glitter, and new techniques are in these kits. (you can find them in my Etsy shop or in the right sidebar) I'll be teaching the Seasonal Tags class at a retreat in October.
Have you thought about Halloween costumes yet? We already ordered Noah's and it's up on the shelf in his closet. (so he won't wear it and play in it) Gone are the days of him being something "cute." This year he's Darth Maul from Star Wars. ::groan:: In fact, this is the 4th year in a row he's been a Star Wars character. Get your costumes soon since sizes start selling out as soon as October arrives. If you are looking for some fun, homemade costume ideas, you can find a bunch here!
Need to go start on the closet. Have a wonderful Saturday!

and, of course, as long as you're looking down,
you can't see something that's above you."

Good luck on that cleaning project, good to do that on a regular basis, you never know what you might discover.

Miss Halloween and fall while we are living overseas in the tropics, it is a special time of year to enjoy.

I've had my shirts in my closet organized by color order for years. So much easier to put them away when doing laundry, too.

I love having my closet in color order. It makes me feel so much better to go in there. Also makes putting them away so easy!

I am off to etsy to check out your kits! Thanks!

Looks cute! I do love when things are all "in mass" like that!
