We spent a lot of time outside today, grooming the yard, powerwashing the patio and playscape, and trimming trees...all in anticipation of the blessed Easter Sunday tomorrow morning. I absolutely love Easter. All of our family is coming over here tomorrow for lunch and an Easter egg hunt.

These are just some photos I took this afternoon. These orange dahlias are so gorgeous. I love flowers that are completely bursting with petals, like these, cabbage roses, and peonies.

I've had this ornamental flag stand for years, a gift from my mother-in-law.
Isn't it gorgeous? It gets more shabby every year. I have a good assortment of flags that I frequently change for holidays or seasons.

This is a pot of ornamental begonias in a stand on the front porch. The metal "The Stewarts" was something I bought several years ago at Wimberley Market Days. There was a woman that had a booth and she could do any word you wanted. She just twisted it with pliers. I still love it.

Have a blessed Easter Sunday with your family. He is Risen!

"See the land, her Easter keeping,
Rises as her Maker rose.
Seeds, so long in darkness sleeping,
Burst at last from winter snows.
Earth with heaven above rejoices..." ~Charles Kingsley

Love your beautiful flowers and yard dressing! We have 4 inches of snow, meaning the "Hidden Eggs" won't be very hard to spot against the white landscape. Oh well! If it all melted it would just be muddy, so I think I'd rather tomorrow be full of snow. Most years the snow is gone but the grass is still hybernating, so the photos look more like fall than spring photos - imagine the fun of scrapping Easter photos with fall papers because that's what goes with the photos! LOL! Happy Easter
