This morning I was doing kits again and was about to go stir crazy. So I had to get out of the house. Needed a good distraction. I drove straight over to Uncommon Objects, my favorite store in the world. I browsed the aisles and shelves for about an hour and found lots of wonderful vintage photos...and these amazing hats! There are bouquets of millinery flowers all over the store that are quite expensive, but buy them on a hat, and suddenly they are affordable! The blue hat has gorgeous white velvet flowers with beaded centers, blue velvet ribbon and leaves and large beads. The other hat has dusty pink, orange, yellow, and green flowers. The girl in the store said, 'would you like to try the hats on?" I said, "oh, that's ok. I'm going to cut all of the flowers off." (ha) I can just imagine the lovely ladies who donned these bonnets for Easter Sunday. I bet they were beautiful. I'm going to use these flowers along with the vintage photos and other items to make some handmade door prizes for the INSPIRED event. So if you are going, you'll probably see these again. :)

I can't believe Easter is this weekend. We'll have everyone over to our home for Easter dinner, an egg hunt, and some pretty Spring portraits taken by my brother-in-law. Here are some fun Easter ideas to celebrate the day of Jesus with your family!

Resurrection Eggs

Empty Tomb Cookies (need to be made on Saturday night)

Easter Printable Pages (good for antsy kids at an Easter gathering!)

Decorated Easter Eggs with Character! (fun ways to dress up your eggs)

Gotta run to cub scouts. Have a good night!
