Well, today I got to take down most of the Christmas decor. I always think I'll be sad...and then I'm not. I love all of my Christmas things and wrap each thing carefully (after I purge the stuff I didn't even unpack!) and will look forward to seeing it next November. I was inspired by several different blogs this week and decided to do a big gathering of sorts on my mantle. So the mantle is full of mercury glass, silver, ivory, white, and brown gathered items. I love it so much. And most of it I already had! Love my vintage glitter Wendy Addison "Joy" word on the mirror, too. JOY is all year long, not just at Christmas, so it came off of the tree and on to the mantle. I like it. When I figure out how to get a good photo of the entire mantle, I'll post that.
Made our (my!) favorite pancakes this morning for breakfast, sans bananas - Banana Sour Cream Pancakes. (we were out of bananas and Noah doesn't like them in his pancakes anyway) The lemon zest and sour cream (light is fine!) are necessary, though and make these heavenly.
I hope you're enjoying some of the new links I've added to my right sidebar. Trying to simplify things a bit with some lists and not having it so "icon" heavy.
Oh...and in case you needed to know, Noah wrote this on the dry erase board on the refrigerator yesterday:
HOW TO ANNOY ADULTS:
1. Say why over and over
2. Say underwhere
3. Say BUTT
I'd say that pretty much covers it! :)
