Happy Saturday!

This morning I made Barefoot Contessa' Challah French Toast for breakfast. Yummy! Had it with fresh blackberries and Starbucks Christmas blend coffee. Nice way to start the weekend. (and hopefully I won't have to cook the rest of the day, ha)

Today I need to go to Archiver's to get some paper for a project. Hopefully I can walk right over to the paper I need, pay, and leave. I always spend too much money there!

I'm pretty much done with Christmas shopping. Just need a few more gift cards and some stocking stuffers. How are you doing on your shopping? We drove around last night to look at Christmas lights and just happened upon a house that was just flashing out of CONTROL. It almost gave you a headache. But.....then we got in front of the house and saw a sign "tune your car radio to 106.7 for the music." It was one of those houses with the lights synchronized to the Christmas music! And it was fabulous!! I'd seen them on You Tube and always thought it would be so fun to watch one. And here we were, sitting in front of one. And no one else was around. I don't know if people know about it or not! We were in an unfamiliar neighborhood so we wrote down the cross streets so we can find it again. :)

If you happen to have the January issue of Scrapbooks, Etc. in your hands, look at page 65. :) Donna's full page advertisements for her Inspired. Artist Workshop have started and they are incredible! So excited to have my name on that page and to be participating in this amazing event.

And in case you don't have your own neighborhood "flashing to the music" Christmas houses, here are a few for you (and your kids!) to enjoy -

(ok, had to laugh that this one starts with an 80's song...ha!)

Merry Christmas!

"Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf.
The good you do for others is good you do yourself..."
~Norman Wesley Brooks, "Let Every Day Be Christmas," 1976

I like that Christmas quote! Definitely almost done shopping; just two more people. Usually I'd be done by now, but this year flew by way too fast. Mmm, french toast sounds so good; will have to make that tomorrow for breakfast! Have a great day!

Yum, we've made that recipe and it's off the charts good!
Love getting more Christmas videos to check out, especially the Final Countdown beginning!

ROFL . . .so laughing here. I saw the still picture of the first youtube you posted and thought "Oh, it's Jeff's house!" That house is within a mile of our house and we go check it out every year. He also does city hall every year. Yep. we can drive around city hall and all the buildings around it and see the synchronized show.

This year, he's added a second light grid (to the grass, I think . . .don't know how you can get more lighted up grass, but guess he can!) and a snow machine that will snow on random evenings.

tehehe . .. just had to share.
