12.27.07

Well, swell. I somehow twisted my foot the other night in the garage and now I have a pulled tendon. Left ankle, inside, just hurts so much it's hard to walk. So now I have a Vicodin and steroid prescription and orders to stay off my feet. Lovely....I have Christmas decor to take down, lol.

I was really wanting new cookware for Christmas, and my sweet husband delivered! I got a set of Cuisinart stainless steel cookware and I just love it so much. I also got some professional chef's knives. My mother-in-law gave me a really cute little Nigella Lawson salt pig to hold kosher salt for sprinkling when I cook. (fun!) and my mom gave me a Cuisinart food chopper. Yay! Funny thing is...now that I have to stay off my feet for a week or so, I can't use my presents. I'll just have to sit and find yummy recipes to try once I'm all better, right?

I finished a new project today and I just love it. I'll be teaching it at the H.O.T.S. club retreat in February and then I'll have kits available on Etsy for purchase. I was taking a photo of it to post on here and my camera died. And I'm out of batteries. lol :) And dh won't let me walk around the house to look for some. Argh!

Gotta go eat dinner and let the Vicodin kick in. Have a beautiful evening!

Twisted my ankle leaving a Texans game a month ago. Totally stinks. Suddenly, random projects we have been putting off are screaming at us-taunting us when we can't get up. It takes a while to be back in action. Throw in the white towel and let your family amaze you with their "taking care of you skills". Thinking of you..get better soon!!

Stay on the couch with that foot up! Take time to watch the tree, etc. You'll have plenty of time to cook later. Read cookbooks, scrap mags....maybe I should come over and knit with you/teach you?? Call me at the store if you want to shop virtually! lol!

Stay off that ankle! It is so important to prevent nagging injury pain! Can't stress it enought, not that I'm really the boss of you, since you don't know me, but experience tells me to pass on the advise.

I'm being selfish because I want you better for the Inspired Artists, and I know that if you fudge and get up and around too early it could take until then or later to really get back to your self. Careful!

Hoping to meet you in April! Love your blog! Love your talent!
