Hello and happy Monday! :)

I had such a wonderful weekend at the scrapbooking retreat. I met so many nice women who all love scrapbooking as much as I do. I didn't get a huge amount of layouts done (only 8 or 9, I think? lol) but I had a great time talking, teaching, and just getting away. Here are three of my favorite layouts from the weekend! Click on any layout to see a closer look and to read the journaling. (you need to read the 1st layout's "interview!") :D

For this layout I typed out the questions and let Noah write his answers.
All of the papers I used are hand cut scraps, all inked and uneven.
It's hard to see, but I used a red glitter photo paper in two places.
Those scraps are at least 5 years old, lol.

This layout uses the gorgeous Basic Grey "Mellow" line.
The chipboard letters (also BG) are covered in copper metallic paint.
I made the posie flowers by punching 3 circles in different sizes,
hand-trimming them to be uneven, crumpling, inking, and then
smearing copper Stickles on them with my finger. They are fun
and glittery. :)

For this layout I was inspired by a layout done by Lisa Bearnson in CK.
(she did her title in the middle like this) I used the new American Crafts
red vinyl Thickers letters. LOVE them! Also used the Making Memories
pink and red glitter brads.

To fit lots of photos on my layouts, I print full photos in 2x3 (wallet) size! That way you are still seeing the entire photo, but it's in a smaller size, allowing more photos per layout. I don't do it with every photo, but I do have some on almost every layout now. I love how it lets me use more photos!

My class at the retreat was SO much fun. I love to see how everyone personalizes the project. All 14 who were there seemed to have a great time and gave me really nice feedback. I came home from the retreat, put all of my supplies away, and tomorrow I'll start putting kits together and packing for my classes in Waco this weekend at Crop, Paper, Scissors. If you'll be in Waco I'd love to see you there!

Noah's 7 yr self page is great!! I wish I had thought to do stuff like that when my kids were young. That's why God gives us grandchildren.....to do the things we were too busy to do with our own kids. Glad you had a great time at the retreat!

Hey, Jennifer! I really enjoy reading your blog. You inspire me in so many ways, but especially in your home decor style. Last fall, you posted a picture of some glittered pumpkins that you had made for a table centerpiece. I would really like to try that this year, but I can no longer find the instructions on MarthaStewart.com. Would you mind emailing instructions to me? My email address is shariburch@juno.com

Thank you so much!

Shari

Love the layouts! I love to print pictures out in wallet size to use, also. They help tell the rest of the story sometimes!

I love how you are able to fit so many photos on one page. Do you print them out smaller, or do you just crop them down?

Awesome layouts! I just noticed your blog about the 'farting dog' book. My boys would totally love this. I'll have to make a trip to the book store. Also, I finally tried one of Starbuck's hot apple caramel drinks. Oh, my goodness. Divine! Thanks for the tip.
