Is it Friday? This week is so weird and messed up because of all of our ice days!
I got my Creating Keepsakes Top 10 issue in the mail today, so I'll be sitting in front of the fireplace later with this magazine and a cup of my favorite Williams-Sonoma hot chocolate. Ahhh. :)

We just took Noah and his cousin Luke to Steak 'n Shake for dinner.
Oh man...they acted totally silly and would NOT sit still.
Noah got really mad because he took his pickle off of his burger and was flinging it around.
It slipped out of his fingers and went RIGHT into his ice water.
I laughed and laughed...and said, "well, good." ha...not nice I guess, but man, how many times did I tell him to stop doing that?
So he had pickle-flavored water with his chocolate shake and burger.

I started on my guest closet for organizing my class supplies and oh man.... I am drowning in buttons, rhinestones, and paint! But it's SO fun. :)
I'll have to take pictures and post them next week.

Below is a video that I took on Thursday morning when I went out to de-ice the car to take Noah to school. The ice was an inch thick ALL over the car...it was encased. Very strange! I had to dodge big chunks of ice and icicles falling off the roof while I was trying to scrape the car, too. And we didn't have an ice scraper (why would we?) so I had to improvise with a rubber spatula..ha.
Ice ice baby....

In the next week or so, I'm going to be giving away a FREE CLASS!
Of course you need to live in Austin or the surrounding area to win,
but you'll be able to take the class for free at Scrapbook Crossing, where I teach locally.
(and THE best store in Austin!)
Details later...!

Have yourself a warm weekend!

But there are always some obstacles in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life." - Alfred D. Souza

Yep, my Top 10 issue is ready & waiting for me this evening too. It's usually my fave issue of the year so I always look forward to it. Cool about the free class, I'll be watching for details on that since I can hopefully come up for it!!

ROFL on the de-icing. Never thought to send DH out with a spatula! {grin} We usually pour hot water over the ice. Of course, that means a lot of running back and forth. On Wednesday (our "icy" day), the garage door was iced down. Andy had to go out the front door, walk around and force the door open. EEK!

I was scraping Thursday too...then I headed to Target, and saw other moms wandering around, happily child-free! It's fun to have them home, and fun to send them off, too. The bummer was that the Starbucks in Lakeline's Target was CLOSED! They couldn't get the register to work. Bummer! Looking forward to seeing how you give the class away...and hope to see you soon!

And where are your gloves? BTW isn't that why they make garages so we don't have to get the ice off of our vehicles. HA!! Have a great day. Carol
