(please click on the photo to see details)

We are out of coffee. Noah and I will be headed to Starbucks for breakfast soon. :) He'll be thrilled to know he gets pumpkin loaf this morning. He loves it!

Thought I'd go ahead and post the photo of the project I'll be teaching in September at a weekend scrapbooking retreat. I'm so excited about this class! I've never seen a project like this before, so I'm hoping it's slightly original. This is a multi-sided acrylic menu holder for restaurants. I'm using a Family theme and all of the patterned papers are from the Daisy D's Attic Heirloom collection. Many of the embellishments (rhinestones, buttons, silk flowers, ribbon, painted/distressed wooden heart) are 3-D, meaning that they are adhered on the outside of the acrylic. It's really beautiful in person and I may even paint the outside edges of the acrylic for more distressing. We'll see. :) (and a big "thank you" to Suzyplant for the inspiration for the first "layout." I already emailed her to thank her, too.) :)

I'd love your feedback on the class project! Oh, and I ordered the acrylic menu holders online from an acrylic supplier. :)

Need to go shower and get ready for a morning playdate with some of Noah's kindergarten buds from last year. :)

Thank you, Lord, for this new day!

That frame idea is too cute, Jen!! It should be a great class...where do you get the menu acrylic holders? Did you have to special order them?
Super great idea. Hope you enjoyed the Starbucks time with Noah. :)
