STUFF

(just a fun picture of us!)

Ever feel like you just have too much STUFF?? I look around sometimes and just wonder "where did it all come from?" I am not a cluttered person at all and really, our house stays fairly in order because of that. But looking in the garage, the closets, the drawers....that drives me nuts. So I'm on a mission. I'm going to get rid of all of this excess that is cluttering our home and my mind. We don't need it, don't use it...so why hang on to it? I started yesterday with the master bedroom closet. I threw out 5 grocery bags of *junk* and took 2 bags of shoes and clothes to Goodwill. Ahh, that felt SO GOOD! And the closet looks great! I'm going to take my time and go thru every room in the house, ending in the garage. I'm only going to hang on to things that are useful or especially sentimental. Will probably have a big Spring garage sale, too. I'm not in a hurry, though. I'll get more satisfaction out of it if it's something I can do slowly and not something that constantly nags at me. Anyone want to join me?

If you've read Wendi Speciale's blog today, you know that they have made the decision to go strictly wholesale with the WSD stamps. I respect Wendi and her business and know that God has wonderful things in store for them. I have made the prayerful decision to step down as a design team member/muse, though. I feel like I need to do something regular instead of freelance, so I will see what God has planned for me there. I know that there is something I will be doing in the world of "organization." Just not sure what that is yet. My March CK feature will hopefully move that along for me! :)

My Chatterbox Make It Meaningful album is coming along well. It's difficult at times because of the subject matter, but I know that the finished product will be well worth every tear shed. The deadline is February 28th, so I need to get it done!

Like my new banner?? I just pieced it together digitally, scans and photos. It was fun! (all of the paper is Chatterbox Nook)

Thanks for reading, today! :)

Jen, I am totally in with you on the cleaning out. I have been doing a slow process also, I just had a few boxes picked up and working on more. Congrats on the CK spread. Sorry to hear that you are leaving your position on the DT. I know what you mean about things to come. I am waiting patiently for my day to arrive. I just dont understand why I am in stand still mode. There has to be somebody out there that can use my work, heck I cant even get published :( But I know that God has a BIG plan for us and I cant wait till He reveils it. Your new banner is awesome! Talk to you soon.

I dig the new banner, Jen... and I like that photo of you, too - except your horns seem to be pointing the wrong way. hee hee.

Girl - we are always on the same page! I am also on an organizing frenzy in my house and I'm giving it all away. I don't even have time for a yard sale, I'd rather just give it away and get rid of it. Happy cleaning! I know something great is in store for you, right around the corner.

I enjoyed your blog. I understand the "NEED" to organize. If something in my house hasn't been used in the last 6 months it's not needed and it's gotten rid of. (then I find myself looking for it in the future!LOL). Have fun!

i know all about the decluttering - i call it fling-boogying (you know the whole fly-lady thing) and I actually by counting what I throw out find more stuff that I don't need to be keeping!

best of luck to you with completing your MIM album - I am sure it will be amazing!

and dig the new banner!

take care~

I totally love the new banner.
I am so with you on the purging.
Sometimes I lay in bed at night and think about where there might be stuff in my house that I can get rid of. I may be obsessed.
Oh, and you and your family look so cute in your t-sip clothes. ;)
