Happy Birthday to my man!

(This is a layout I did last year about David. Click on it to see it larger)

Wednesday is my hubby David's birthday. :) I love that his birthday is so close to Christmas. Instead of integrating it into the holiday celebrations, I have made it my mission ever since we got married to ALWAYS separate his birthday from Christmas festivities. So Wednesday morning we'll start the day with Cinnamon/Raisin bread french toast, bacon, orange juice, and Starbucks Christmas blend coffee. :) He has to work during the day, so we'll go out for a romantic dinner and then back home, where all of our family will be waiting to celebrate with David's requested dessert....Toll House Pie and vanilla bean ice cream. Yuuuuum. Oh...and I'm doing his gift wrap and all of the paper plates and napkins in a Star Wars theme. No Christmas stuff at THIS party!

During breakfast we'll give David his gifts. I let Noah choose a few gifts for David, so in Noah's box will be a cologne gift set (Adidas? smells good!), a tube of toothpaste, a York peppermint pattie, and a Hershey bar. HA...I love it! I'm giving David the new John Mayer trio CD. He'll love that. :)

God, thank you for my husband! He is such a blessing in my life and compliments me perfectly. You knew what You were doing. :)

Here is the pie recipe that I'll be making tomorrow. It tastes like a huge toll house cookie, slightly undercooked, in a pie crust. Oooey, gooey, and DELICIOUS.

Toll House Pie
2 eggs
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup butter, melted and cooled
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 recipe for a 9 inch single crust pie

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
In a large bowl, beat the eggs until foamy. Add the flour, white sugar and brown sugar; beat until well blended. Blend in the melted butter. Stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts. Pour batter into one unbaked 9 inch pie shell.
Bake at 325 degrees F for 1 hour. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.

The recipe sounds delish, now all I have to do is get into that room downstairs with that hot box and cold box and try to mix all of that stuff together, is that the way it's done? lol Lisa
