Foodie Shopping and Chocolate Heaven

Is it weird to get excited grocery shopping? I went today after church. I absolutely LOVE going to Central Market, a gourmet grocery store. Oh man...I could spend hours there...and hundreds of dollars. It's not a place you can just go in and buy your weekly groceries. But I love to buy our meat and produce here. (natural and organic) I guess I'm a "foodie." That is what Central Market calls their newsletter, but I think it describes me as well when I'm in there. Noah and I eat tons of fresh fruit and this place is fruit and vegetable heaven, too. And I found something today that I sure hope to find in THE Heaven someday. I read about it on Wendi Speciale's blog, and since we live in the same city, knew I had to try it. It's called Miles of Chocolate. Oh my....it is GOOD. The description on the website is perfect for it, too. YUM. You can even have it shipped to you. I had to get the bakery to cut the piece in half that I was intending to buy. And unless you want complete overload you can only take one or two bites at a time. It's fun just having it sitting in the fridge, LOL! :) Oh...and my Dad was a chocolate fiend. If they do have Miles of Chocolate in heaven, he's eating it with chocolate ice cream and chocolate syrup on top. :)

I got to scrapbook yesterday for about 3 hours. I had FUN! I finished my August design team projects for Wendi Speciale Designs. One of them included this layout using huge quotation mark stamps. You know, I don't like scanning my layouts because they never really look as good as they do in person. I guess that's the same for anyone. Oh well... :)

I'm off to start dinner. I'm making Chicken Stew with Biscuits, a Barefoot Contessa comfort food recipe and my Mom is coming over to eat with us. This tastes like chicken pot pie but with biscuits on top. The recipe is really long, so I'll post it later. For now, here's a chocolate recipe that I love! It's the easiest thing in the world and tastes like thick, warm chocolate pudding cake....

Triple Chocolate Mess

1 package chocolate cake mix
1 pint sour cream
1 package instant chocolate pudding
1 small bag chocolate chips
3/4 cup oil
4 eggs
1 cup water

Spray crockpot WELL with non-stick spray. Mix all ingredients. Pour into crockpot. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Serve in a bowl with ice cream or whipped cream on top.

OK, now I don't feel so alone in my love of the fun markets! Mine is called The Fresh Market. I love that place, it is where I go when Mark comes home from work, and I need to relax(get away from the kids). They also have a fantastic wine selection and always have a woman giving out samples.

I do NOT want to discover the Miles of Chocolate. It would doom me to despair. I LOVE the idea of your Dad enjoying his chocolate in heaven - what a great way to look at things.

Oh, I LOVE Central Market! I live only 1/2 mile from ours. It's our closest grocery store -- SO dangerous! -- at least till we move next week. Jennifer, I'm going to email you about the meal planning system you mentioned a few posts ago!
